    Hyaluronic acid preparations contain additives called "cross-linkers" to slow the breakdown and absorption of hyaluronic acid in the body. BDDE is generally added to conventional hyaluronic acid preparations, but it has been pointed out that BDDE may contribute to allergic reactions after hyaluronic acid injections.     PEG is also characterized by high thermostability: a study comparing the thermostability of BDDE- and PEG-crosslinked hyaluronic acid formulations showed that BDDE-crosslinked hyaluronic acid decreased by more than 30% after heating, while PEG-crosslinked hyaluronic acid formulation showed no change even at temperature changes from -20 to 75°C. The PEG-crosslinked hyaluronic acid formulation showed no change, even at temperatures ranging from -20 to 75°C. *This means that Nuvia can be combined with cosmetic medical devices such as infrared, RF radiofrequency, and Hyf on the same day of the Nuvia treatment. The high heat resistance of Nuvia also makes it less susceptible to temperature changes during transportation and storage, which has the added benefit of making it easier to maintain the quality of the hyaluronic acid formulation.

Q What is the difference between Nuvia and other common hyaluronic acid products?

A Nuvia is a hyaluronic acid formulation that uses PEG cross-linking and contains glycine and L-proline. Compared to general hyaluronic acid preparations, it has the following characteristics
The absence of BDDE cross-linking used in conventional hyaluronic acid formulations prevents delayed allergic reactions.
The use of PEG cross-linking provides a highly elastic texture.
Since it is more heat-resistant than conventional hyaluronic acid preparations, it can be combined with a cosmetic medical device treatment on the same day.
The combination of two amino acids, glycine and L-proline, is expected to improve the elasticity and stability of hyaluronic acid formulations.

Q How do I choose the type of Nuvia?

A Bibi Clinic uses two types of Nuvia formulations: INTENSE is PEG cross-linked hyaluronic acid and STIMULATE is PEG cross-linked hyaluronic acid plus calcium hydroxyapatite. Which formulation is more suitable for you can be discussed during your consultation.

Q How long do the effects of Nuvia last?

A In the case of INTENSE, the effect can be expected to last for about 12 months, depending on the individual. The peak effect is said to be around one month after the treatment.

Q Is the Nuvia procedure painful?

A During the Nuvia procedure, there will be pain similar to that of an injection, but local anesthesia will be used to minimize pain. If you are concerned about pain, please consult us at the time of consultation.

Q Is there any downtime?

A The Nuvia procedure is characterized by very little downtime. Swelling, redness, internal bleeding, and swelling may appear after the procedure, although the course of the procedure varies from person to person.
