The picolaser is a device that works on melanin pigments in the dermal layer by irradiating the skin with a laser for one trillionth of a second (picosecond). It approaches melanin pigments by delivering shock waves with shorter irradiation than conventional lasers (nanoseconds). It causes less thermal damage than conventional lasers, taking into consideration the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and the burden on the skin. The PICOCARE 450, a device introduced in our clinic, can be used in three different irradiation modes according to your concerns, and multiple modes can be combined.
